Ngare Sero

Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is situated on the slopes of Mount Meru at an altitude of 4000 ft / 1300 m. Ngare Sero means sweet water. A spring is born in the forest beside the Lodge and runs into a lake full of tropical plants, which forms an ideal bird sanctuary of incredible beauty. From the balcony you can see the snow capped peak of Kilimanjaro framed by forest and coffee trees. Trout fishing can be arranged. The lodge was created from a farm house built at the turn of the century. It has just ten rooms and provides complete personal service to lodge guests.

Mt Meru

This hotel is a great choice for the budget traveler, as it has all the basic amenities at a good price. The location is great, as it is quite accessible. It is also a nice place to rest and recuperate at the beginning or end of your safari.

Mountain Village

Nestled in the heart of a coffee estate is the picturesque Mountain Village Lodge. The accommodation is in romantic rondavels (circular rooms) thatched with Banana stems, all of which are arranged to surround a beautiful shade tree - in an imaginative recreation of a traditional African village. There are forty-two rondavels, including four suites. Family suites are also available for three to six persons. Every room has a private bathroom with shower. Every single room has increbible views! The magnificent scenes from the terrace cover panoramic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Lake Duluti and Mt. Meru.

Kibo Hotel

Dik Dik

The Dik-Dik Lodge is situated twenty minutes from Arusha Town by the foot of Mt. Meru. It is owned and managed by a Swiss family. The Hotel has a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. There are nine bungalows with two double rooms in each. The cozy and high quality bungalows are fitted with modern comforts and conveniences such as a fireplace and a small minibar. The Hotel has its own power and water supply and offers excellent service and food. The restaurant is situated on beautiful grounds, with a swimming pool and bird lake in close proximity.

Ol Donyo Orok

Located just outside the Momela Gate of Arusha National Park, Ol Donya Orok is nestled at the base of Mt. Meru with views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the volcanic crater of Mt. Meru. Giraffe wander beside the lodge and buffalo can be seen grazing in a nearby meadow. This exclusive lodge offers six comfortable en-suite guestrooms as well as a high timber and thatched living area where, in the evenings, a huge log fire completes the atmosphere. The lodge prides itself on having a personal touch and wonderful historic perspective on Tanzania.
