Rovos Rail

Rovos Rail provides unique train safaris through some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa. Rovos Rail operates two trains of twenty carriages each that have been refurbished splendidly with meticulous attention to detail, comfort and luxury. They can be drawn by either Steam, Diesel or Electric locomotives operating at various stages of the journey. The trains each carry a maximum of seventy-two passengers who are attended by discreet and caring Rovos Rail staff. Accommodation on board the train is of the highest standard, combining the opulence of pre-war travel with modern innovations. The spacious Royal Suites each have a private lounge, en-suite bathroom and the option of twin or double beds. The smaller Deluxe suites also have a lounge area and an en suite bathroom.

Blue Train

As our most welcome and select guests, journey with us for a glorious and grand trip aboard the New Blue Train, truly a magnificent way to travel. From the luxury of a private lounge at the railway station, enter your carriage of rich gold, deep blues and warm wood paneling offset by detailed marquetry. In keeping with classically romantic ambiance of the dining car, lunch aboard the blue train is an elegantly casual affair, while dinner is more formal.
