| Camps | Description | Price Range ($/person/night) | | Selinda | Selinda Camp is situated on the banks of the Selinda Spillway amongst riverine forest overlooking the Selinda Floodplains. The camp is in the eastern section of the privately operated Selinda Reserve and is serviced by its own airstrip, which is approximately fifteen minutes from the camp. Game drives take place at dawn and afternoon, all of which are run by professional guides. Leopard, giraffe, zebra, wildebeast, impala, hyena, and bat-eared are all the local animals accessible while on game drives. The camp can accommodate twelve guest tents. Each of which has twin beds and handbasin for washing. The central lounge and dining area are raised and completely shaded by trees so that guests can enjoy their meals at peace. | | | Zibalianja | The Zibalianja Camp is a small, intimate tented safari camp situated on a palm island near Botswana’s northern Linyanti Swamps. The camp has panoramic views of open flood plains within a private wildlife area known as the Selinda Reserve. You have the choice here of participating on boat or open vehicle game drives during the day or night. Boat trips on the Lagoon are their specialty, as you can view the entire area with great maneuverability and speed in the eight-seater power boat. Game often seen includes the rare wild dog as well as elephant, lion, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, hyena, and a wide assortment of plains game; the elusive leopard is also seen now and again. Accommodation facilities include twin beds mounted on raised wooden platforms with ample mosquito netting and shade cover. En-suite hot and cold shower, handbasin, and flush toilets are all provided for guests. | | | Kings Pool | King’s Pool Camp is located in a private reserve in the Linyanti area, bordering on the west of Chobe National Park. Accommodations are in ten tented rooms with private facilities and private gameviewing decks facing Kings Pool Lagoon. Activities offered include 4 x 4 game drives during the day and night, and walking expeditions. The lodge boasts a double-decker boat, which cruises the Linyanti River, offering great opportunities to view game and birds from the water. Gameviewing is splendid here with elephant populations reaching enormous densities in winter. | | | Duma Tau | DumaTau is built under cool and shady mangosteen trees overlooking an enormous lagoon east of the source of the Savuti Channel. DumaTau’s accommodation is in luxurious raised-tented rooms under thatch with en-suite facilities — hot and cold running water, flush toilets and shower. Each room has an additional outdoor shower. There is a dining room, pub, lounge, a plunge pool and a guest toilet with a fantastic view. DumaTau offers boating, day and night game and nature drives along the Linyanti and Savuti as well as short nature walks. The pontoon allows guests access to the waterways to observe the Hippos at close range. | | | Linyanti Tented Camp | Linyanti Tented Camp is a small, wonderful, intimate tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti marshes in a private reserve which borders onto the western boundary of Chobe National Park. The camp sleeps eight guests in large East African styled tents, with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets. The camp overlooks a large and tranquil lagoon. The main dining room and pub is under canvas right on the shore of the lagoon. The area is best know for its large populations of elephant which congregate in vast numbers during their winter months. Lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo and all the plains game can be enjoyed at Linyanti. | | | Savuti Tented Camp | Savuti Camp is situated in the Linyanti Reserve. Savuti Camp is a great tented camp in an isolated area, far from any crowds. Savuti can accommodate a maximum of eight guests at a time. Accommodation is in five large comfortable walk-in Meru tents with en-suite facilities. Each tent has its own bathroom with a shower, handbasin and flush toilet. There is a separate dining room and pub under reed and thatch, as well as a plunge pool. Because Savuti is located within the private reserve which borders onto Chobe National Park, camp activities are not limited to the rules and regulations of Chobe. Savuti can therefore offer game drives, night drives and walks with an armed guide. All predators occur in the area — Lion (40 different lions have been identified), Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog. | | |
